The modern museum is not only a place for preserving artefacts, but also a centre of knowledge, inspiration, and intergenerational continuity. A key mission of the Regional History Museum – Sliven is to develop and offer a diverse museum educational programme aimed at children, pupils, students, and teachers. Through a combination of interactive methods, creative approaches, and accessible presentation of cultural and historical heritage, we strive to engage young audiences with our rich past, awaken their curiosity and respect for history, and inspire them for the future.

Educational Initiatives at RHM – Sliven

The museum organizes creative workshops that successfully combine the acquisition of new knowledge with the opportunity to craft something tangible. Inspired by original exhibits, centuries-old traditions, and various artistic techniques, participants are encouraged to express themselves freely through creativity. We work with natural and eco-friendly materials, promoting care and responsibility towards nature among children.

Our museum educational programme also includes vacations in the museum – events organized several times a year for pupils from first to fourth grade.

Another opportunity we provide is internships for school and university students, encouraging active participation in the museum’s activities.
