Three curators work in the department, and they share responsibility for the museum’s collections and holdings. One of the curators is in charge of the scholarly archive. The curators from the Collections Department take part in national and regional scholarly events, prepare academic publications, and participate in the mounting of exhibitions both in the museum’s galleries and at external venues. They are also involved in cultural and educational programs and provide reference services and consultations.
